2. To incur day-to-day expenses and overhead costs such as fuel, power, office expenses, etc.
3. To meet the selling costs as packing, advertising, etc.
4. To provide credit facilities to the customers.
5. To maintain the inventories of raw material, work-in-progress, stores and spares and finished stock.

3. WHY IS THE PARTICULAR TOPIC CHOSEN

. The basic goal of working capital management is to manage the current assets and current liabilities of a firm in such a way that a satisfactory level of working capital is maintained, i.e. it is neither adequate nor excessive as both the situations are bad for any firm no business can run successfully without an adequate amount of working capital.

3. To study and analyze the operating cycle of Tata Motors Ltd.

Here will be done the analysis on basis of secondary data, which include:
 Balance Sheet of company
 Profit and loss A/C of the Company.
