    2.STATEMENT <\/u><\/strong>OF<\/u><\/strong> THE PROBLEM<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    The project management is extensive with reference to continued project failures and the notion that over the years projects have increased in complexity. This is accompanied by concern that prescribed industry risk management standards are not effective enough in managing uncertainty and risk, especially in complex project environments. Leading risk and project management researchers have proposed a number of approaches that they consider to have the potential to improve the management of uncertainty and risk in these environments, including the uncertainty management paradigm; explicit opportunity management; an improved approach to the evaluation and interpretation of estimates; complexity theory concepts and the explicit management of individual and organisational risk attitudes. Other researchers suggest an even wider approach to managing uncertainty and risk, such as scenario planning or frameworks that include fundamental uncertainty, ignorance and fuzziness.<\/p>\n

      • Are uncertainty and risk managed differently by Project Managers on projects perceived as more complex?<\/li>\n
      • What levels of general prescribed industry risk management standards are implemented by Project Managers on projects perceived to have high complexity?<\/li>\n
      • What uncertainty and risk management approaches and processes are considered to be \u2018in advance\u2019 of general prescribed industry risk management standards on projects of high complexity?<\/li>\n
      • On projects perceived to have high complexity, what proportion of Project Managers are implementing uncertainty and risk management approaches and processes considered to be \u2018in advance\u2019 of general prescribed industry risk management standards?<\/li>\n
      • On projects of high complexity, do the uncertainty and risk management approach and process implemented affect perceived project success?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          METHODOLOGY ADOPTED<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

          This research will be aimed at studying the risk management & uncertainty relative to project complexity.<\/p>\n

          \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

          RESEARCH DESIGN:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \u00a0<\/strong>The first step in developing any sample design is to clearly define the set of objects, as my study is exploratory, the sampling design includes three decisions i.e. sampling unit, Sample size & Sampling procedure.<\/p>\n

          METHOD YOU WILL USE TO CLASSIFY DATA:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

          The data will be collected using both by primary data collection methods as well as secondary sources.<\/p>\n

          DATA COLLECTION APPROACH<\/strong><\/p>\n

          The base on which a study rests is the information that is embedded in it. The data for this study will be obtained as a blend of both Secondary and Primary sources.<\/p>\n

          PRIMARY DATA<\/strong>: Most of the information will be gathered through primary sources.\u00a0 The methods that will be used to collect primary data are:<\/p>\n

          • Questionnaire<\/li>\n
          • Interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            SECONDARY DATA<\/strong>: Secondary Data are those data which have already been collected by someone else and which have already been used as per required. There are basically two sources to collect Secondary Data are:<\/p>\n

            • Magazines<\/li>\n
            • Journals<\/li>\n
            • Websites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              \u00a0<\/strong>Sample Technique:<\/strong> The technique will be used for conducting the study is Convenience Sampling Technique as sample of respondents shall be chosen according to their convenience.<\/p>\n

              \u00a0<\/strong>CONVENIENT SAMPLING: <\/strong>it is that type of sampling where the researcher selects the sample according to his or her convenience.<\/p>\n

              \u00a0<\/strong>TOOL OF ANALYSIS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

              \u00a0<\/strong>Data collection will be done through questionnaire. The Excel<\/strong> and MS-Word <\/strong>software will be used to analyze the data. Different types of graphs & Charts use to interpretation the findings diagrammatically. They are:<\/p>\n
