PROJECT GUIDELINES FOR SMU FINAL SEMESTER MBA\/MCA\/MSc IT<\/div>\n

Points to be Followed:<\/div>\n
To proceed with the project work, it is important to select a right topic and right<\/div>\n
organization, where you will get required information for the successful completion of<\/div>\n
the project work.<\/div>\n
DO\u2019S<\/div>\n
\u2022 Prior to selection of the title, approach the organization of your interest with the<\/div>\n
authorized introductory letter from our institution.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Collect the consent letter from the organization, where you will do your project.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Along with the consent letter submit three topics and title of the project of your<\/div>\n
own choice.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The topic must be related to the specialization group, you have opted for.<\/div>\n
\u2022 For selection of the topic you can consult your external guide\/concerned faculty<\/div>\n
member.<\/div>\n
\u2022 After the confirmation of the topic, submit the synopsis within a week to the<\/div>\n
institute.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The synopsis contents should consists of Introduction, aim & objective,<\/div>\n
methodology, analysis, conclusion & recommendation \/ bibliography.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The synopsis submitted should be of 10 pages minimum in A4 size paper.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Two copies of synopsis should be submitted in computerized form.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The project work must be undertaken in a company and it should be original in<\/div>\n
nature.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The project work should be designed in such a way that, it would be useful to the<\/div>\n
organization.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The project report must be of 120-150pages and the text pages should be printed<\/div>\n
on one side of the paper preferably with 1.5 spacing.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Do submit your project in specified time period.<\/div>\n
\u2022 As per the university norms submit one copy of your project report to the institute<\/div>\n
along with two CDs (one for office purpose and other for University)<\/div>\n
DON\u2019Ts<\/div>\n
\u2022 Do not involve yourself in any indsciplinary action in the organization.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Do not deviate yourself from instructed guidelines.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Don\u2019t ever try to get the project related information from your friends \/ any other<\/div>\n
resources.<\/div>\n

Format of the Report :<\/div>\n
\u2022 The full content of the report must be hard bound together so that the pages<\/div>\n
cannot be removed or replaced.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The cover of the report must contain, title, name of the candidate, the award<\/div>\n
and the year of submission.(refer annexure A)<\/div>\n
\u2022 Page numbers at the bottom of the each page. Margin should be 2\u201d on the left<\/div>\n
and 1\u201d on the right.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Please use separate index sheets for all chapters should start from a new page.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The declaration must be duly signed by the student(Refer annexure B).<\/div>\n
\u2022 Report must contain all the necessary documents such as. Certificate of the<\/div>\n
University study center. Company certificate, declaration, acknowledgements,<\/div>\n
table of contents etc.<\/div>\n
