2. STATEMENT ABOUT THE PROBLEM<\/p>\n

Business needs funds for short-term purposes to finance current Operations. Investment in short term and long term assets like cash, inventories, and debtor\u2019s etc as called \u2018Short-term Funds\u2019 or \u2018Working Capital\u2019. The \u2018Working Capital\u2019 can be categorized, as funds needed for carrying out day-to-day operations of the business smoothly. The management of the working capital is equally important as the management of long-term financial investment. Adequate working capital enables the organization to face business crisis in emergencies such as depression because during such periods, generally, there is much pressure on working capital.<\/p>\n
3. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY<\/p>\n
1. To study the financing of working capital Tata Motors Ltd.
\n2. To analyze the various components of working capital of Tata Motors Ltd.
\n3. To study and analyze the operating cycle of Tata Motors Ltd.
\n4. To determine policy regarding profitability, liquidity and risk by considering company objectives.
\n5. Determining the relationship between the current assets and current liabilities and hence liquidity is determined.<\/p>\n

Research Methodology is the way how we conduct our research. In the present project type of research conducted is Quantitative research. Exploratory research is undertaken which involves extensive scanning of secondary data. The best websites are considered which gives all the efficient and effective information. References for the project are from the websites and books and the company\u2019s annual reports. STASTICAL TOOLS: MS-EXCEL will use to prepare pie- charts and graphs and MS-WORD will use to prepare or write the whole project report. \nTata Motors, also listed in the New York Stock Exchange (September 2004), has emerged as an international automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, acquired in 2008. In 2004, it acquired the Daewoo Commercial Vehicles Company, South Korea\u2019s second largest truck maker. The rechristened Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicles Company has launched several new products in the Korean market, while also exporting these products to several international markets. Today two-thirds of heavy commercial vehicle exports out of South Korea are from Tata Daewoo. In 2006, Tata Motors formed a 51:49 joint venture with the Brazil-based, Marcopolo, a global leader in body-building for buses and coaches to manufacture fully-built buses and coaches for India \u2013 the plant is located in Dharwad. In 2006, Tata Motors entered into joint venture with Thonburi Automotive Assembly<\/p>\n
